ChecaYa

The time card, now on WhatsApp.

ChecaYa

Electronic work-hours log for micro and small businesses in Mexico: staff clock in, out and for lunch over WhatsApp or at a kiosk, and the owner has an inspection-ready report.

The challenge

Starting January 1, 2027, Mexico’s Federal Labor Law requires an electronic record of every worker’s hours, small businesses included. For a stationery shop or a kitchen, buying a time clock and tracking hours by hand isn’t an option.

What we built

Workers scan the shop’s QR code and send a WhatsApp message, or type their code on the shop’s laptop. They install nothing, create no accounts, and their location and face are never tracked. The owner sees attendance live and downloads the monthly report.
